📜 Island Crafter Terms of Service

Welcome to Island Crafter. By placing an order, browsing the store, or using our website, you’re agreeing to the terms below. They’re here to keep things fair, clear, and respectful for both of us.

Handmade Nature of Products

All items are handcrafted in small batches. Variations in wood grain, colour, pattern, size, and finish are normal and part of what makes each piece unique. Measurements are approximate, and no two items will ever be identical.

Ordering & Payment

Orders are confirmed once payment has been received. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, which may include Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, PayPal, and Interac e-Transfer.

For Interac e-Transfer orders, payment must be received within the timeframe stated at checkout or the order may be cancelled.

Processing & Shipping

Processing time is typically 3–10 business days unless otherwise stated on the product page or discussed before ordering. Rush or express options may be available only if arranged in advance.

Once handed off to the shipping carrier, delivery timelines are outside our control, but we’ll support you if something goes missing.

Local Pickup

Local pickup is available in the Lake Cowichan / Duncan area. We’ll contact you after purchase to coordinate a meet-up time.

Cancellations

Because items are made to order or prepared shortly after purchase, orders cannot be cancelled once production or packaging has begun. If you need to request a cancellation, contact us right away and we’ll do our best, but we can’t guarantee it.

Returns, Repairs & Exchanges

In short: no returns for change of mind. If there’s a genuine craftsmanship issue, reach out and we’ll work with you to repair or replace.

Use & Care

Customers are responsible for following the care instructions provided with their product. Damage caused by misuse, improper care, neglect, or exposure to water/heat/harsh cleaning products is not covered.

Accuracy of Information

We aim to provide accurate information on product listings, pricing, and stock. Mistakes can happen (we’re human). If we catch an error, we reserve the right to update, correct, or cancel an order if needed, with a full refund if applicable.

Intellectual Property

All photos, designs, logos, and content on this website belong to Island Crafter. Please don’t use them without permission. Ask nicely—most problems in life are solved that way.

Limitation of Liability

We’re not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the purchase or use of our products. In plain English: we stand behind our craftsmanship, but we’re not responsible if someone misuses a product or turns it into a weapon at a cheese party.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of the page will show the latest version. By continuing to use the website after changes, you’re agreeing to the updated terms.
